On May 10th, the Alliance hosted a virtual launch of the Community Engagement in Case Management Study.
The study outlines what we learned about the work of community volunteers; the roles that they play in child protection case management, the challenges and risks associated with the work of volunteers, and best practices based on global and country – level research.
During the event, volunteers shared personal testimonies and global and country researchers discuss their findings and recommendations. The discussion among panelists challenged participants to examine their assumptions of “volunteers” and “volunteering" in order to advance our collective understanding of volunteers and their unique and valuable roles and expertise.
