BIFERD is a national NGO based in North Kivu and founded in 2004. It works for peacebuilding activities by educating people about peacebuilding, by implementing peace-building projects such as Mutuelles de Solidarités (MUSO) and the Village Savings and Loan Associations (AVEC). BIFERD’s mission is to reduce vulnerability and poverty by restoring justice and equity based on responding in emergency and development. We view women and girls as the most vulnerable during conflicts in the Eastern DRC.
